Happy Birthday to Me!
I tend not to be interested in blogs that are too self referential, but since today is my birthday, give me this one….
Rachel and I enjoyed getting to see U2 on David Letterman last March. Then, when the opportunity arose to buy tickets to their Dallas show (this Monday), I passed.
I passed, but Rachel didn’t. She surprised me last night with 2 tickets for Monday night at Cowboy Stadium. We had a great dinner with my in-laws. My father in-law grilled steaks and mother in-law made an awesome chocolate cake for me.
Today we begin the 2009 installment of Church of the Resurrection’s Leadership Institute. It features keynote addresses by Adam Hamilton and Mike Slaughter. I have enjoyed following both via blog and twitter, and have read several of their books.
What an awesome birthday I get to have this year!
